ATISA

→ MULTIPLY

A mode that multiplies the two colours, so the result is always darker.

ATISA

ATISA multiplies each channel by the other and divides by 255. Because every number is between 0 and 255, the result can never be lighter than either input — ATISA always darkens.

Measured: (100, 150, 200) over (200, 100, 50) gives (79, 59, 40) — 200 × 100 ÷ 255 = 78.4, and so on.

It is like laying two panes of coloured glass over one another: the light has to get through both. SCREEN is its opposite.
