DELETE

→ DELETE

The value standing for the Delete key.

DELETE

You hand it to taetsiETshwerwe. It is the string 'Delete'.

It is not BACKSPACE: on most keyboards, BACKSPACE rubs out the character behind the cursor, while DELETE removes the one in front of it.

Note: DELETE is not phimola. phimola is Bopa’s keyword for clear, which wipes the canvas. DELETE is a key on the keyboard. They are written differently, so they never collide.

The name stays English. Written Setswana has DELETE key as “taetsi ya DELETE” — and, tellingly, the action of deleting is translated as phimola. The verb translates; the key’s name does not.
