PEELOTHOKO

→ EXCLUDE

Spline end mode: the first and last points steer the curve but are not drawn.

PEELOTHOKO

Under seeloSaKonego('ends', PEELOTHOKO), the first and last points are set aside: they tell the curve which way to leave and arrive, and are not part of the line that gets drawn. Only the middle span is drawn.

Measured on pixels: the pixel at the first point is left as background, while the one in the middle is stroke colour.

This helps when you want the curve to begin smoothly rather than at a corner.

The name is peelothoko — a setting-aside. It and AKARETSA are not matched in shape: one is a verb, the other a noun.
