TLHAKANYA

→ ADD

A mode that adds the two colours together, so the result is lighter.

TLHAKANYA

TLHAKANYA adds each channel of the new colour to the same channel of the one already there: red with red, green with green, blue with blue. Where the total goes over 255 it stops at 255 — there is no colour lighter than white.

Measured: (100, 150, 200) over (200, 100, 50) gives (255, 250, 250) — the red channel would have been 300, and was capped at 255.

TLHAKANYA is the school-arithmetic word: it is what the maths dictionary gives for add. It is not tlhakatlhakanya, which means to shuffle a list.
