A value that puts the top edge of the text at the y you gave.

GODIMO

It is the second parameter of rulaganyaMokwalo, the one about y. With GODIMO, the y you gave is the top edge of the text, and the words hang below it.

It is the easy one to reason about when lining text up with a shape — a rectangle starting at y = 40 and text starting at y = 40 begin in the same place under GODIMO.

godimo is the ordinary, heavily-written Setswana word for “above”, and Bopa already speaks of the sekhutlo sa godimo-molema.
