SCREEN
→ SCREENThe opposite of `ATISA` — the result is always lighter.
SCREENSCREEN inverts both colours, multiplies them, then inverts the result. The outcome is always lighter than either input — which is what makes SCREEN the opposite of ATISA.
Measured: (100, 150, 200) over (200, 100, 50) gives (222, 191, 211) — 255 − (55 × 155 ÷ 255) = 221.6, and so on.
The name stays English. The Setswana word for screen is sekerini, and it means a computer display — not the thing happening here. Using SEKERINI would teach a real word for the wrong idea, and Bopa’s rule is to name for what actually happens.
