MOLELWANE

→ THRESHOLD

A `tlhotlha` value: every dot becomes either white or black.

tlhotlha(MOLELWANE, [limit])

There is no in-between. Each dot is measured against a limit — the middle by default — and becomes white above it, black below it.

A second number moves the limit: tlhotlha(MOLELWANE, 0.3) makes more of it white.

molelwane is the Setswana word for a dividing line — as in Molelwane wa Botswana le Namibia, the Botswana–Namibia border. It is the right word here: every dot falls on one side of the line or the other. It is common in the language.

No Setswana word for threshold was found in any source searched. molelwane is a rendering by description.
