PHIFALO

→ BLUR

A `tlhotlha` value: soften the picture so its edges run together.

tlhotlha(PHIFALO, [amount])

Each dot takes the average of the ones around it, so hard edges disappear.

A second number is how much. Measured in 2.3.2: tlhotlha(PHIFALO) with no number gives byte-identical results to tlhotlha(PHIFALO, 3), so the default is 3.

phifalo is a noun from the verb phifala — to dim, to become hard to see clearly.

⚠ It is heavy work. A large blur on a large canvas, inside tshwantsha, can slow the drawing down.
