KHUTLOTHARO_LEBANTA

→ TRIANGLE_STRIP

A shape kind whose triangles are chained edge to edge, like a belt.

KHUTLOTHARO_LEBANTA

Under KHUTLOTHARO_LEBANTA, each triangle shares an edge with the one before it. Every vertex you add makes another triangle, so five vertices give three triangles.

It is useful when you are drawing something long and thin that bends — a river, a road, or a thick winding line.

It is not fussy about the count, like KHUTLOTHARO_ANAMA.

The name is a coinage. lebanta is a long narrow thing that goes round — in Setswana it is the belt at your waist, and it is used for bands of land too. Setswana has no word for strip in any source consulted.
