SHIFT

→ SHIFT

The value standing for the Shift key — the one that makes capital letters.

SHIFT

You hand it to taetsiETshwerwe, usually to make something behave differently while Shift is held:

fa (taetsiETshwerwe(SHIFT)) { lebelo = 10; }

Watch out when using taetsi. While SHIFT is held, taetsi gives you the capital: pressing a yields 'A'. taetsiETshwerwe('a') becomes maaka and taetsiETshwerwe('A') becomes nnete. If you want the physical key regardless of Shift, use taetsiETshwerwe('KeyA').

taetsiEKwadilwe never sees SHIFT at all — it skips keys that type no character.

The name stays English, because Shift is printed on the key. Written Setswana has SHIFT key as “taetsi ya SHIFT” — the key’s name untranslated.
