EMISETSA

→ REPLACE

A mode where the last thing drawn takes the place of the whole canvas.

EMISETSA

EMISETSA is a striking mode, and a dangerous one if you are not watching. It is not that the little shape takes the place of what is under it — it wipes out what is outside it as well.

Measured: with the canvas at (200, 100, 50), drawing a (100, 150, 200) rectangle under EMISETSA makes the pixel inside the rectangle (100, 150, 200) — and the pixel outside it completely empty. The background is gone.

So EMISETSA is normally used when you want to start afresh, not when you want to mix colours.
